I Built Proterra Around Pest Problems That Kept Coming Back
Proterra grew from a pattern I kept seeing in the field. A treatment would reduce activity, but the pest returned because the source was still there. Ant workers disappeared while the colony remained active. A rat was trapped, but the opening along the roof edge stayed open. Spiders vanished. Their food source did not.
That is why I built the company around diagnosis before treatment. I want to know what pest is present, where it is traveling, what supports it, and how the structure is involved. Those answers determine whether the job calls for bait, trapping, a targeted application, exclusion work, monitoring, practical corrections, or a combination.
The goal is simple. Your recommendation should make sense before any work begins. If the evidence points to a repair outside my scope, I will say so. If treatment needs time to work, you will know what activity can continue and what would signal a problem.

Heat, rain, humidity, vegetation, and roof construction change how pests use a building. Rain can move ghost ants indoors. Branches and utility lines give roof rats a route above ground. The visible pest is only one part of that picture. I also look at timing, food, water, shelter, travel routes, nesting conditions, and the way the exterior connects to the rooms where activity appears. A standard checklist cannot read those connections.
The climate does not give homeowners a long off-season. As rain patterns, temperature, nesting cycles, and shelter change, the pest pressure around a home shifts with them. The plan has to account for that.
